Week 3: Rooty Toot Toot

Rooty Toot Toot is about a character called Frankie, she is being prosecuted for allegedly killing her husband John. The entire film is also in rhymes and sang, also the animation is very colourful. Every time a character is showed, the background colour changes to match the speaking character. As one of the tutors pointed out, this animation is a repetitive story, told in different perspectives or way.

The first witness is the bartender, he was small and round, his colour palette is red and his background is orange almost yellowish. After he tells his side of the story, the next character was a singer who was practicing with John the victim, that also played piano. She tells her side of the story and the accuser rapidly, tries to cut her off, which makes her more suspicious. After that, the accusers lawyer, starts to tell the accusers side of the story. I like how, the version of the lawyer is totally different than the rest. Also, they changed the colour palette, for Frankie the accuser from a red to white. White symbolise, patience, peacefulness or in this case innocence. Later, the lawyer admitted that he had feelings for Frankie and wanted to marry her.
