Week 9: Once Upon a Head Nuodi a 2020

In once upon a head, tells a story of a young child called Dong Dong and his point of view. Where, the grandfather resolves to visit the barber shop to get a new haircut. Unfortunately, Dong Dong can’t remain still and tries to escape, after laying eyes on a playground. Once Upon a Head, is so vibrant with colours that attracts the attention of younger audience. Also, story wise is also very appealing to children, since kids always try to have fun and can’t stay still. Having a child like protagonist, that is so relatable to everyone, not only children but adults too. In on scene, we see Dong Dong, daydreaming of him flying to a planet where children to have fun, he tries to reach it. In real life he sees that he grandfather has fallen asleep, so he tries to run for it and leaves the barbershop. Outside Dong Dong sees that it starts to rain and everyone leaves from the playground. In a child point of view, this scene is disappointing when we try to reach our goal and everything has to change, then you can’t reach your goal. Dong Dong was in a state of shock, his grandpa wakes up at the same time and realises that Dong Dong was gone. As the grandfather goes to get his grandson from the street he sees a bus coming towards Dong Dong. In that moment everything was in Slow motion, we can see how worries the grandfather was, how Dong Dong was so scared and we see how the bus tries to stop. In this scene the motion are very clear for everyone. By the whole situation that happened, the haircut got ruined in the process, so the hairstylist had to change the haircut. After that the grandfather wanted to spank the grandson, for ruining and making fun of his new haircut.
